Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat Finland is launching the Holy Quran in Finnish language to promote the understanding of the beautiful and peaceful teachings of Islam in Finland
The Holy Quran in Finnish language will be launched and presented in this year’s Helsinki Book Fair at stall 6K40 on Saturday 28th October 2023, at 12pm noon.
The Holy Quran, regarded by Muslims as the eternal word of God, encapsulates profound insights that transcend time and space. Its verses illuminate the human journey with ethical precepts, spiritual guidance, and moral principles, encouraging believers to reflect upon their actions, intentions, and relationship with the divine. This translation strives to capture not only the literal meanings of the Quranic text but also its inherent beauty and spiritual depth, allowing Finnish readers to engage with its timeless message in a profound and meaningful way.
The translation is done by Mr. Jaakko Hämeen-Anttila who is currently serving as a Professor of the Arabic language and Islamic studies at The University of Edinburgh. And the verification of the translation was done by Mr. Ilkka Lindstedt, a lecturer in Islamic theology at The University of Helsinki. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to both in helping us in this project and completing it to the best of their abilities, as well as supporting us in finalizing the project.
The Holy Quran has been translated into more than seventy-five languages worldwide by the Ahmadiyya Community, but this translation created and published in Finland is the first of its kind and is different from any other translation printed in Finland before, as this has both the original Arabic and Finnish side by side.
This Holy Quran translation in Finnish language will be officially launched at our stall 6K40 on Saturday 28th October 2023, at 12pm noon, in the Helsinki Book Fair 2023 held at Messukeskus Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre in Helsinki, Finland. After the launch, throughout the event, this Holy Quran will be available to purchase for all the readers.
