Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat Finland categorically condemns the shocking violence in Kuopio

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat Finland offers deepest sympathies and condolences to all victims and those affected in the violent attack at the Savo Vocational College

As developments continue to pour in from Kuopio regarding the terrible shocking attack at the Savo Vocational College, there are reports of a death and of multiple injured; our thoughts and prayers go out to all our brothers and sisters who have been directly and indirectly affected.

We categorically condemn this shocking violence and express our deepest condolences and sympathies to the relatives of the deceased. To the other victims, we wish them the strength to have a rapid and full recovery.

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community calls upon all to stand up and reject all forms of extremism and violence. Whenever and wherever such attacks take place, we all must condemn them in the strongest possible terms.

Our hearts go out to the families and friends of those who have lost their life or those who have been injured, are going through. As a community committed to peace and rejection of all forms of extremism, we stand shoulder to shoulder with all those affected.

To continue to strive for a peace and harmony within Finland and a wider society, we need to ensure that we stand united against all forms of violence and extremism, as people and as communities. The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community always exhorts its members to display the true teachings of Islam which are of peace, love, mercy and compassion.
